The Birth of Bakery Fair
In 2001, Bakery Fair was founded with the goal of promoting the Philippine baking industry. The vision of then-President Mr. Gerry Chua and Past President Mr. Henry Ah came to life at the Philippine Trade Center, where the first event brought together key players from the baking world. This marked the beginning of an event that would evolve into the Philippines’ largest gathering of baking professionals, enthusiasts, and industry leaders, shaping the future of baking in the country.
First Exhibitors and Early Growth
Sonlie International was one of the first exhibitors and became the first-ever signed participant for Bakery Fair 2023. Their involvement helped lay the foundation for the fair’s early success. Over the years, Bakery Fair grew in both size and significance, attracting more exhibitors, suppliers, and global visitors. The event became a platform for introducing the latest baking trends, equipment, and techniques, offering inspiration and opportunities for both professionals and home bakers.
The Formation of IFBCA
In 2003, the Integrated Federation of Bakery and Confectionery Associations (IFBCA) was formed within the fair, further strengthening the event’s role in fostering collaboration and innovation. The IFBCA provided a space for bakers and suppliers to network, exchange ideas, and work together to advance the baking industry.
